howzat! i realised i hadnt added the news flash that we do actually have a bassist. if you hadn't seen already his mug is on the bio page. alan is a wicked bassist and we are currently writing new material which we hope to debut at some point. we still need a singer, so if you think you can take the spot please get in touch, but please, no timewasters. we are really looking foward to gettin back on the scene having missed it over the last couple of weeks. we would also like to say good luck to all the members of rehab and ninelivez in whatever they decide to do after their splits. we are very grateful of the support they gave us in the early days and wish them the best. anyway, until next time wally watchers... drivingblind

hey to every one, happy new year... hope you like the new look website. just to inform you all that we are in positive talks with a bassist but still havent made a solid decision on a vocalist yet. we have recieved a lot of positive response, and michael and myself would like to thank everyone who has put time into us, and the effort envoloved in that. we will hopefully be updating the site soon with information and new music ect, so keep a watch out. And just to address some sour messages that came accross on our guestbook, graham and josh did have a fall out - and after he left us standing at a gig i felt it best for the band to ask him to leave. i know he will be better in another band, and will inevitably succeed while we fail miserably, as he can write decent music, however it wasnt the right sound for drivingblind. its strange how things come back around. drivingblind

hello folks - sad news i'm afraid, dan preston has parted ways with drivingblind and joined rogue faction. this also points to leigh (our stand in bassist) leaving. this means me and michael have a bit of a problem. we refuse to be stopped this easily and are now looking for a new singer and a new bassist who can push our sound to its true potential. we are looking for commitment, talent and an honest love for music. we are looking to develop our sound into a more posthardcore kinda style but still try and keep our individuality. we are looking for a singer who has at least some diversity to his voice and is able to at least write some of his/her own lyrics. the ideal age we are looking for is between 15-18 but as long as your in telford or near enough age isnt a problem. anybody interested should get intouch straight away at our email address drivingblinded@hotmail.com. please help us to continue rocking. graham and michael, drivingblind.

hey dudes and dudettes! our cd is finally available!!! you can get a copy for £2.50 british sterling from us either at gigs or by finding graham in the street and hassling him. alternatively, if you email us at the usual address you can reserve your copy and collect it whenever you want! how ace is that!? plus, our next gig is coming up quick... its next week in fact, at wrockwardine wood school on wednesday 19th! hello and thanks to everyone who came down to wolverhampton's little civic to watch us play sunday night. unfortunatley we did not get through to the next round but did very well, coming in at close third place. good luck to the guys in liquid remedy in the rest of the competition. other news... well important news to be honest... leigh of 'the storybook ending' is currently playing bass with us and has brought a new dimension to the band which we have lacked in a long time. also our 3 track demo will be finished very soon - only matter is its really old stuff now and will probably intrest only you hardcore drivingblind fans out there. the cd's tracklisting is as follows; betrayed, hide from me, figure of hate. i am also looking into putting a video or some other crazy thing on the cd as a bonus. lovely. anyhow. our next gig to date is on the 23rd of october at the millhouse so we are looking foward to seeing you all there! drivingblind.

hello rock fans. how are you all? sorry about the lack of things over the last few weeks, we've been a bit busy, especially me and dan who were off in italy for a week with the schools music dept. anyhow. back to reality. some of you out there may have seen us play at the wrockwardine wood school summer concert the other night which went down really well, so cheers if you liked us, and even if you didnt like us, cheers anyway. it looks like our next deffinate gig will be on the 14th august with ninelives at the mill house. look foward for it. still not sure when the demo cd will be finished, but if you harrass graham enough he may let you listen to the rough instrumental mix he aquired. until then. drivingblind

hey guys. as you may have heard/seen drivingblind performed as a threesome on thursday night when josh decided he wished not to play with drivingblind any further. those of you who were there, however, were very supportive and we thank everyone who listened to us and let us do our thing. these goings on should not affect the release of our demo which should be finished in a week or to. we are currently writing new material which we will be playing very soon when we get some more gigs! so if anyone wants to give us a gig please email us at drivingblinded@hotmail.com. until then rock dudes and dude-ets! drivingblind.

hey everyone. cheers to everyone who watched us play at the haygate the other night - despite the fact it wasnt really busy we still had tones of fun with good ol' ninelives. highlight of the night was the colaboration between both bands for 'i love rock 'n' roll'. don't worry if you did miss it because we will be playing with ninelives again on the 19th - don't miss out! thanks go to richard at the haygate fo giving us the gig. as i mentioned a while back about being interviewed for a magazine, we have now been interviewed but we still dont have a clue when the magazine will be out or what it's even called. wicked. drivingblind.

it's about time there was an update. tonight we are playing at the mill house with bushpig - please if you can come do so! the captured/mavis tuesday gig is postponed for the moment because the venue was double booked - it looks like it will be rescheduled for the 14th of june (the following saturday). if youve been on our gigs page you'll see a brand new date - next wednesday. we are playing at the haygate in wellington, and hopefully we will get a couple of other bands along too. this gig will probably cost a £1, so its quite a good deal in my opinion. we are still recording our demo, all drums and bass are recorded and i am going into the studio to record guitars later. hope to see you all at the millhouse, drivingblind

the gigs page has been updated with some newly confirmed dates. for starters, the wrock gig has been postponed, but we have landed support slots for captured and ninelives (formaly known as electrik gypsyz). check the page out for full details. we are also hopefully starting the recording of a three track demo tomorrow. more news soon. there have also been rumors that we are going to be asked to be the cover feature of a new telford rock magazine. more news soon on that too i hope! drivingblind

the skatepark gig is tomorrow people! as we have said before, if you are a member of skatemental please come watch and skate/bmx/inlineskate. we are playing twice during the 6 hours (or so we believe!) so we have pulled out some new songs especially for this gig. drivingblind now have a semi-sensational 10 song set! the setlist can be viewed on the above setlist page (it's in the menu) so you can see for yourselves. yay. we love rock and roll. drivingblind.

the date for the skatepark gig has been confirmed as being the friday 25th april. it will be taking place all afternoon from 1pm till 7pm, but is for members only. so if you are a member of the skatemental park and want a good 6 hours of kick ass bands such as re-hab and captured come along! drivingblind

the battle of the bands went really well last night, 12 bands in one place made the organising a bit tough but all turned out well. we didnt win, but we sure as hell enjoyed ourselves. i will be loading up the pictures very soon, so calm down and be patient! cheers to rehab and the rest of the bands who lent us bits of stuff, with out you we wouldnt have been very good. wowzers! it looks like the cancer research gig with x-port41 and ninelives (formally electrik gypsyz) is going to be on may 9th, but we are still awaiting more information on the skatemental gig. chill. graham.
